Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Sociedade Portuguesa de Cirurgia da Mão I am very pleased to invite you to the congress Luso-Espanhol and to the Ibero Latino Americano meeting to be held in Oporto from 16 to 19 April 2008.
In the actual context of globalization and increasing velocity of changes on what concerns different forms of knowledge, this meeting can be a firm base from which we can develop new original and effective strategies of diagnosis and treatment concerning Hand and Upper Extremity.
The scientific programme has been conceived to offer, even to the youngest participants, the opportunity of presenting the results of their most recent researches in this field.
In conclusion the Congress Cirurgia da Mão 2008 will be a form for exchanging new ideas and experiences and for establishing durable and constructive friendships.
A number of social events will pleasantly complete the scientific working sessions. Oporto, an ideal venue for bringing together Hand surgeons coming from Iberians and Latino-Americans countries, will welcome you in its architectural and cultural history.
